Academy Changes Documentary Rules

The Academy changed the documentary Oscar nomination rules today...
Now, you can show the film on TV, it just also has to be shown on at least 25 screens in 15 states for it's theatrical run.
This is total bullshit.
Hmm...it's funny how they change the rules for the year after Fahrenheit 9/11 comes out... They couldn't have gotten together to decide this a few weeks ago, before the nominations came out? (!)
So basically, the documentary winner - even if it's a good film in its own right - will have its win tarnished by the fact that mere days came between that award being in his hand or in Moore's.
Well, the awards have already started out on a bad foot... hopefully everything works out better on awards night.
